Ingredients 🛒
1 Cup | 170g Semolina
1/2 Cup | 43g dessicated Coconut
1/2 Cup |100g Fine Sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoon Milk powder
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 cup | 120g whisked Yogurt, room temperature
1/2 cup | 96g Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup | 118g Hot Milk
Sugar Syrup
3/4 cup | 150g Fine Sugar
1 Cup Hot Water
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla essence
Few Drops of Lemon juice
In low flame about 5-6 minutes
Pan size – 8*8 Inch
Method ✍️
1. Mix all the Dry Ingredients together, the semolina, coconut, sugar, milk powder, baking powder.
2. Add all the wet Ingredients the whisked yogurt, oil and hot milk. Mix well. Rest covered for 15-20 mins.
3. Grease a Pan generously with Ghee or butter. Transfer the batter and level it out.
4. Bake @180c in a preheated oven for 35-40 mins or till Golden on top.
5. Prepare the sugar syrup by heating sugar, water and vanilla essence. Boil Low Heat for 5-6 mins. Add lemon juice 🍋. Allow to cool completely.
6. Once Cake is baked, pour the cooled syrup on it. Cover and rest for 1-2 hours.
7. Best Served Next Day to prevent crumbling while slicing.
