Orange & honey sponge cake with cardamom whipped cream.

I used a stabilized whipped cream hoping it would hold up but it was still a little too warm in my climate to get the whip to do what I wanted it to do. Next time I’ll probably go with an American buttercream as they’re practically indestructible.

But anyway I’m fairly happy with it! What do you think?

Did you frost the bottom of the cake?

Looks incredible and that is the perfect amount of frosting in the layer! You should try Swiss meringue buttercream next time, it has the light whipped texture but more stability than whipped cream!
