I wanted to combine my two passions in a way I had not seen done before lol. Apologizes if this isn’t allowed but thought it would be fun to share.
500 g Azure Standard ultrafine bread flour
310 g water
100 g starter
35 ml thc infused olive oil
10 g salt
Combine all ingredients in stand mixer and mix for about 5 minutes, until smooth ball forms. Let rest for 30 minutes, then 4 sets of stretch and folds every 30 minutes. I was in a rush, so I placed the dough under a heating pad and did a bulk ferment for 6 hours. Shaped and cold proofed for 18 hours. Baked at 450F covered for 25 minutes, then uncovered for 20.
I like an eastern european style bread with tight crumb, so I replaced some of the water with the infused oil to keep the hydration consistent. I didn’t notice the large amount of oil making a difference for the bulk ferment. This was my first time using Azure’s ultrafine bread flour and I think it absorbed more water than their regular bread flour. Next time I would add more water in addition to the oil.
Overall the taste was incredibly mild, just like whole wheat sourdough, and I didn’t notice an oiliness when eating. The bread was effective as at an internal temperature of 210F minimal thc burned off.

When you bake THC at temperatures higher than 270°F the compounds change and the effects also change. You no longer get the same THC effects. That tends to be why most people don’t like edibles. Beautiful bread though.
This will make amazing sandwiches. I love edibles, especially making my own so I have a better idea of the dosage.
This is a lovely loaf. Truly. But THC evaporates at 392F, so if you were hoping for more of an effect than you experienced that’d make sense.
Seriously though: I hope there was a fun trip, and I’d bet it’s delicious all the same.
Make cannabutter, keep it tf out of reach, spread a tad of it on some sourdough or whatever else. I’m terrified at the highly likely possibility of somebody taking a bite of this unwillingly please be careful.
Cannabread…. Baking to be baked…
The loaf that bakes you back!
I’ve been wanting to try this! I was bummed I didn’t try it last Easter and put a leaf for the scoring. How was the high overall after eating some?
I don’t know why, but I’d have made a THC focaccia instead of a loaf.
I once made a THC sugar that absolutely blew me away when we made cookies.
I just wanted to say that your loaf looks like a cartoon loaf of bread (in a good way)
I was just thinking about this the other day, but was considering using ground AVB vs already infused oil as the delivery method/dough additive.
But didnt
Lambsbread
