What’s the point of this? Might as well buy it from the grocery store for 1/10th the price and cook it properly at home and end up with a better result.

This may win dumbest restaurant steak for me, and it’s a highly contested title.

WHO taught her how to hold utencils !!!!!!!!!!!!! yikes

    “And medium of cheese”

    Wonderful subtitles.

This is a chain restaurant called “black rock” and can confirm it is a stupid theme. You pay normal steak price to cook your own.

  5. GaptistePlayer

The steak has a little orgasm at 0:05

The stone is not hot enough, the cut isn’t fatty enough to be cooked without oil and the steak is too thick to be cooked like that.

Stone cooking can be super fun but you need Korean bbq size pieces of meat.

Her cutting off the sear each time is killing me.

I don’t care for the cooked at your table experience. Same thing with the Shabu Shabu restaurants. I am paying for service, bring the food out cooked.

  9. LilBearLulu

If you would have told me in 2006 people would be paying to cook their own steak in 2026, I wouldn’t have believed you. Nothing about this looks appealing to me.

We have a black rock by my house, went once never going back they have overpriced food you cook yourself and it isn’t very good.

It’s funny how confident she is in this 😂

  12. No_Constant8644

It wouldn’t have stuck had she actually allowed the Maillard reaction to take place. That bad boy was straight grey!

  13. ChemiWizard

I used to live right next to the place. Yes this video dont do it any favors but the experience was awesome and steak was great.

My favorite steak is Filet very rare with a nice sear. This is very easy to do one bite at a time with a 600 degree stone. Overall a far better experience than most mid /low tier restaurants you get in a random suburb in the midwest.

It’s actually pretty awesome when done correctly and not hard to do

  15. is-that-james-lowe

Not even done right. Wrong cut with near zero fat, too thick and they aren’t letting the sear set, needs a high smoke point oil or to be marinated in an oil based marinade at the very least.

I have no problem eating rare/blue but this is just badly cooked.

  16. Cheap-Top-9371

That’s just awful. Okay? Okay? Gawd, not only stupid food, but wasteful food.

  17. CricktyDickty

I’m triggered by how she’s holding the fork like a toddler

  18. Icy_Marionberry_9131

When the food is lacking, you have to add include a performance from a low-rent magician’s assistant.

  19. AdDisastrous6738

Cool. Do I have to buss the table and clean my own dishes to? Maybe I should mop the floor before I go.

  20. Neilkd21

If done correctly and with the right steak it’s a pretty fun and tasty way to eat a steak. This was not done correctly so was stupid execution.

  21. earldogface

I love that she says the salt prevents it from sticking then explains you have to cut it off the surface.

  22. HWayFresh44

Feel like they should of heated the stone more and used some type of oil

  23. ecrane2018

It’s fun and tastes good but it is annoying the crush just sticks to the stone

  24. I went to this place on a trip for work and tried this for the hell of it. Was actually pretty good with a much thinner cut of steak but yes it’s completely pointless.

  25. Polo_Short

I thought it was a lump of clay. Wtf. You should not use that kind of cut of steak if you’re cooking it on a hot stone/plate

  26. Standard-Arachnid411

I like that she knows this shit does not work at all.

  27. Academic_UK

Hate these hot stone steak restaurants. The method ruins everything you want in a steak. Crust on the outside doesn’t happen as stone is not heated so cools very fast.

Especially so here when the meat is a single thick piece rather than cut in bite size pieces you can cook quickly.

…and what’s the deal with “searing” the steak and then putting it back while you cut and cook small pieces?!

  28. Johnny2feet

I can’t believe people actually buy this.

  29. Sevennix

If i wanted to cook my own, id stay home. There was a local place that did this, id never been, and they are no longer there

  30. Pistolero921

Their rock sauce, it’s like a zip sauce.

  31. jorangutang

“And this is our rock sauce, it’s like a zip sauce”

  32. HyperionSaber

“the yellow sauce is like a rock sauce, it’s like a zip sauce”.

Still no idea what the sauce is despite being given three names for the sauce.

  33. TheTimeTravelingChef

“We all know how to sear a steak right?”…no, not a lukewarm rock we don’t!

  34. TheTimeTravelingChef

The rock sauce is like a zip sauce. Well what the hell is a zip sauce?
