In an appellation of such variable quality, this domaine is surely THE benchmark of what is possible.

Immediately open with violets, musky ripe black berries, plum skin, smoked meat, black pepper, potting soil. Firm tannins. Sweet hickory wood on the finish. A real intensity of flavour but coming in at just 12% ABV.

Such great wine for the price, punching well above its price tag.

Graillot is amazing! One of my favorite Rhone producers.

Cool, just bought one 22 and two 23. Will keep them for a while but thanks for the notes. Will be interesting to try.

Speaking of price tag, may I ask what it cost you? I saw it on offer recently and skipped it because it was priced like actual Hermitage.

Always great to get recommendations from Crozes-Hermitage anyway, because it can be anywhere from pedestrian to excellent.

Great producer been a while since I’ve had one of their wines.

Miss the days when I could score a bottle of that for $25. Sigh.
