Wow, I’m completely blown away! I think I’d go out on a limb and say that Annie's is the best meal I've had in LA after living here for a handful of years. There was about a 30-minute wait, but after dining there, I completely understand why, and I’m really glad I chose to wait. The service was excellent and the restaurant felt super community oriented which was a nice change of pace. They started by bringing out some cornbread with a sweet butter that’s to die for. After that, I had the two piece fried chicken combo with mac and cheese, potato salad, and greens with an a la carte order of fried catfish. Everything was incredibly delicious, well seasoned, and perfectly fried/prepared. For dessert I had their banana pudding for which was very fresh (and easily the best I've ever had). I feel like I’m often disappointed or feel indifferent with many of the meals I have when going out, so it was very welcomed and shocking that everything I tasted was excellent and not a let down. You know how it is, some restaurants have a great main, or side, and everything else is meh, or fine, but not here. I’ll definitely be going back.
