A Mediterranean family-run restaurant in the heart of Ramsgate is marking a successful first year in business this month.
Wandering Hut in Custom House, Harbour Parade, near the Visitor Information Centre, offers a range of delicious dishes from Italy, France, Spain and Greece.

Priding itself on its friendly and exceptional service, the restaurant offers everything from fresh tapas, and meats and fish to pasta and risotto, salads and breads. All of the food is cooked from scratch, the bread is homemade and the meat is sourced locally.
Among the mouthwatering delicacies on offer are fresh mussels in white wine and garlic chilli sauce with parsley, grilled octopus served on a bed of salad with a side of homemade aioli, and fine cured Mediterranean meats served with olives, hummus, bread and stuffed peppers.

The restaurant also serves traditional dishes from the region such as moussaka and arancini, as well as pan seared scallops with a creamy chorizo sauce and peas, and homemade duck and chicken terrine wrapped in bacon and served with a side salad, forest fruit butter and toasted focaccia bread.
Additionally, it has a fine spread of vegetarian offerings, including grilled peppers, aubergines and courgettes served on a homemade bread an balsamic glaze.

To accompany the food, the restaurant offers a host of different wines, beers and spirits, cocktails and mocktails, as well as soft drinks.
With a 4.9 rating on Tripadvisor, the restaurant and beautiful courtyard garden has seating for 80 people and well as offering spectacular seafront views.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday between 12pm to 9.30pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 8pm.
