Dallas diners can expect a new Mediterranean restaurant, Théa, to open on the fast-developing Knox Street in early 2027. Théa comes from Phoenix restaurateur Sam Fox, who created Flower Child, North Italia, Culinary Dropout and other eateries.

According to the menu at the original Théa in Phoenix, sushi and flatbreads also made the list.

The restaurant was named for the Greek goddess of light, making it a fit for a sunny patio above Dallas’ Katy Trail. In addition to lunches and dinners, Théa is known for spritzes — alcoholic cocktails that are bubbly and easy to sip. The Spritz Parade ($19, according to the Arizona menu) is a trio of three: a dirty martini inspired spritz; a vodka-watermelon variety; and one with aperol and bubbles.

“What makes this location especially exciting is the daytime experience,” Fox said about Dallas, in a statement.

Fox’s influence on dining at large is notable as his restaurants continue to target Dallas as an expansion city. In 2019, The Cheesecake Factory Inc. bought Fox Restaurant Concepts for just over $350 million. Fox is now opening new restaurants, including Théa, under the parent company Author & Edit Hospitality.

Théa Mediterranean Rooftop is expected to open in early 2027 at 3333 Knox St., Dallas.
