Ingredients (4–5 servings | 20 mins)
For Onion Rings:
• 4 large onions (cut into thick rings – separate layers)
• Oil for deep frying

For Batter:
• 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
• ¼ cup corn flour (for extra crispiness)
• ½ cup rice flour (optional super crunch)
• 1 tsp red chilli powder
• ½ tsp black pepper powder
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp onion powder
• ½ tsp baking powder
• Salt to taste
• Chilled water or soda water (to make medium-thick batter)
Method in 3 lines:

Cut onions into thick rings → separate layers → sprinkle little salt & keep 5 mins → pat dry.
Mix all dry ingredients for batter → add chilled water/soda gradually → make smooth, thick flowing batter → dip onion rings well.
Heat oil → deep fry coated rings on medium flame till golden & crispy → drain on paper → sprinkle chaat masala (optional) → serve hot with ketchup or mayo!
