FRENCH ISLAND, Wis. (WXOW) – Scouts with the Gateway Area Council’s Scouting America will collect food donations this weekend to support families in need through the Summit Environmental School food pantry.

Residents on French Island are being asked to leave nonperishable food items on their front steps for pickup between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11.

Donations can also be dropped off during that same time frame at Campbell Town Hall, located at 2219 Bainbridge Street.

All collected items will be checked to ensure they are not expired and are in intact packaging before being delivered to the school.

The food will then be distributed through the Summit Environmental School food pantry to families in need within the community.
