Hi everyone!!

Just wanted to show off my father and I’s Easter creation! This is kozunak (козунак) – a sweet bread made with yeast and eggs (similar to Italian panettone). We made three varieties- plain, rum raisin and chocolate! The base dough is orange flavoured.

We have a beloved recipe by Boutique de Kristina – Козунак Душичка – you can copy and paste this into Google (the recipe on her site is also translated to many languages). There’s a YT video as well!

We’re making this for probably the 5th year in a row so this recipe is really really great and it’s the best we’ve found!

A little tidbit about this bread is that you can tell how well you’ve done if you have well pronounced gluten strings on the inside.

🙂 thanks for reading – happy spring holidays everyone

My sister was gifted some along with some țuică (plum moonshine) and I’m definitely enjoying helping her eat it! 🥰

Easter without tsoureki, is not Easter. Happy Easter from Greece.
