Flavors of the Peninsula, the Peninsula’s Restaurant Week, is set to run this year from Thursday, April 23, to Sunday, May 3, bringing special prix fixe meals and other deals and promotions at over 100 local restaurants to hungry diners.
The event, by The San Francisco Peninsula, the region’s official convention and visitors’ bureau, will bring prix fixe lunch and dinners to restaurants around the Peninsula.
Some of these include:
a $75 dinner at Fattoria e Mare in Half Moon Bay
a $70 dinner at Macarena in Palo Alto
a $65 multi-course dinner at Donato Enoteca in Redwood City
a $60 multi-coruse meal at Oak + Violet in Menlo Park
$45 multi-course meals at Doppio Zero San Carlos and Mezza Luna in Half Moon Bay and Pogu in Daly City
$35 three-course meals at Chandlery at the Shore, Chico Marx, Foundry & Lux and Sugandh Indian Restaurant & Bar in Millbrae
The Village Bakery in Woodside is also offering a $35 two-course-plus-dessert takeaway meal.
Reena Miglani, co-owner at Peninsula restaurants Amara, Rasa and Saffron, said in a press statement that she and husband, co-owner and chef Ajay Walia, “are honored to be part of it and hope it continues to grow into a lasting program that shines a light on the incredible restaurants and people across the Peninsula.”

Here are a few deal highlights:
Andiamo in Banca, South San Francisco: Get a three-course lunch with a soup or salad, main and dessert for $25 11 a.m.-2 p.m.Tuesday-Friday.
Barrelhouse, Burlingame: Free beef, chicken or mushroom empanada with purchase of any signature cocktail.
Brisbane Lunch Truck, Brisbane: Get a main, drink — citrusade, iced hojicha or Arnold Palmer — and a brookie dessert for $25.
Curry Pizza House, San Mateo: Get a date night combo featuring a small plate, a medium pizza and an 8-inch brownie or chocolate chip cookie for $35. Enjoy happy hour promos all day, every day with 30% off small plates and $5 wine glasses or beer pints.

Jayli’s Cocina, Burlingame: Free horchata, strawberry, mango or jamaica agua fresca with a minimum purchase of $15.
Kenta Ramen, Foster City: Get dinner for 2 for $65 with two appetizers, a sushi roll, two ramen bowls and two desserts.
La Maja Empanada, Redwood City: For dinner, get 3 empanadas and a glass of wine for $30.
Maverick Jacks, Burlingame: Get dinner for 2 for $50, including an appetizer to share and two entrees with sides.
PPQ Dungeness Island, Millbrae: Dungeness crab lovers, rejoice! Get dinner for two with appetizers, a Dungeness crab, garlic noodles, dessert and wine or beer for $118.
Vinyl Room, Burlingame: Free beef, chicken or mushroom empanada with purchase of any signature cocktail.

Local chambers of commerce and the San Mateo County Economic Development Association are also involved with producing the event, which will also benefit Moonstar Charitable Organization, a South San Francisco nonprofit that helps people in need access nutritious prepared meals, according to a press release.
The celebration will feature a tasting event 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Camber, 460 Forbes Blvd. in South San Francisco, and a closing event to celebrate global coastal cuisine 6-8 p.m. May 1 at La Costanera, 260 Capistrano Road in Half Moon Bay. Tickets for each are $75.
Finally, people who sign up for the Flavors of the Peninsula through Bandwango on their phones can access restaurants’ menus, and if they check into at least two participating restaurants, they’ll be entered to win a grand prize: Two tickets to the Paraguay v. Australia World Cup game on June 25, a night for two at the Ameswell Hotel in Mountain View, and a $200 American Express gift card.
