Last Bottle find, much like the rest here.
Enjoyed with brunch at Chotto Matte in SF, celebrating a friend's birthday.
Was a little young and needed to open up. Cork broke, so had to strain and decant.
This is reasonably mature, dried plums, blackberry, blueberry, some leather and dried herbs.
Enjoyable with a good body and decent complexity.
This can definitely last a few more years, no rush.
90 points.

Well, I appreciate the write up. I’m confused by how this can be both “a little young” and “reasonably mature” at the same time.
This tracks with my experience with this vintage. Its good now but definitely has the ability to lay down for 5 years or so.
I had an 1987 spring mountain cab a few weeks ago that was divine and still drinking amazing.
I found this to be better than the 2006, which I felt was on the older side of what I personally would prefer. I’ve got another 750ml bottle of 2008, as well as a 2013, and a magnum of 2008 on the way, which will be opened this summer on a houseboat with friends. Can’t wait!
I opened a bottle. I’d give it a higher rating than your rating. Decanted for around an hour, continued drinking for two hours, improved over time.
Dark berries, blackcurrant and some blueberry, dark plum or black cherry. I got the Margaux profile immediately. Graphite and cedar. Violets. Tannins are fine grained and very well integrated. Acidity and primary fruit still there. Some tobacco and leather. Really softened up as I said over the second hour.
I wish I had bought more of these.
Spring Mountain is so underrated. That elevation gives the wine something the valley floor just can’t replicate. How was it drinking?
