The iconic pasta brand is bringing Formula 1 to the dinner table.
Barilla is shifting into high gear this race season with the launch of Racing Wheels, a special-edition pasta shape inspired by its ongoing partnership with Formula 1.
The ridged, circular cut is engineered for the perfect al dente bite, and is available now on Walmart.com, with a broader retail rollout expected later this spring. A 16-oz. box sells for $1.77.
The launch is timed to coincide with race weekend and Barilla’s growing presence at F1 events, including the upcoming Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2026, where the brand will operate two Lasagna Bars serving classic Bolognese and Ricotta and Spinach recipes. Guests in the Paddock Club will also get a taste of Barilla’s premium Al Bronzo line alongside select Racing Wheels dishes. Barilla is the official pasta partner of Formula 1.
Beyond the novelty shape, Barilla is using the moment to amplify “Domenica Italiana” — a nod to the Italian tradition of gathering around a shared meal while watching Sunday races. The brand has a number of coordinating recipes available online.
“Barilla Racing Wheels celebrates the partnership between two worlds that share a focus on detail and a commitment to constant improvement,” said Angie Cotter, the U.S. pasta category marketing director at Barilla. “With this new shape, we’re inviting fans to turn race day into a moment to gather, share a meal and enjoy the spirit of Domenica Italiana.”
Barilla has released special edition pasta shapes in the past, including heart-shaped “Barilla Love” pasta for Valentine’s Day and “Snowfall” pasta in a snowflake shape for the winter holidays.
