The famous restaurant opened its doors to diners at the Bellagio when the resort opened in October 1998, offering contemporary French cuisine for nearly three decades in a whimsical space.
After years of feeding dressed-to-impress guests, Le Cirque will shut down in late summer as part of a planned renovation and refresh of the Bellagio’s culinary lineup, MGM Resorts International announced Monday.
According to reports, a replacement dining concept is already in the works for the soon-to-be-vacant space, which will debut in mid-2027.
Bellagio visitors can reasonably expect the new dining spot to be a luxurious, globally recognized concept designed to attract high-end travelers.

Le Cirque was brought to Las Vegas 28 years ago from New York City by founder Sirio Maccioni. The New York flagship location shuttered in December 2017.
Known for its vibrant circus-inspired decor, theatrical design, views of the Bellagio fountains, and luxurious Forbes 5-star French cuisine, Le Cirque helped redefine what fine dining meant in Las Vegas.
“Le Cirque played a pivotal role in the city’s transformation into the fine dining destination it is today,” Mark Czerniak, general manager of Bellagio, said in the announcement.
“The restaurant is an institution and has been home to many of the world’s best chefs, sommeliers and service professionals. We are proud and grateful to those dedicated team members – past and present – who contributed to Le Cirque’s remarkable legacy by delivering an unforgettable experience to guests from around the world every night.”
With exquisite dishes like escargots, scallops, truffle risotto, and crème brûlée, Le Cirque helped to position Sin City as a serious culinary spot rather than just a place to grab a cheap bite to eat between gambling sessions.
Restaurant closures in 2025
Denny’s – Denny’s has confirmed that up to 150 locations are set to close in the US by the end of the year as many of them are no longer profitable.
Red Lobster – The chain has said that it plans to close over 100 stores across the country this year as new CEO Damola Adamolekun takes over.
TGI Friday’s – TGI Friday’s is still being forced to shutter locations thanks to a bankruptcy filing, including 30 in April alone.
Applebee’s – This chain is projecting a loss of 20 to 35 Applebee’s spots in 2025 but is teaming up with IHOP to introduce dual-branded locations with a curated menu of the two’s best items.
Noodles & Company – This emporium is set to close between 17 and 21 locations in 2025 following a difficult 2024.
The French establishment had just 40 seats or so, making it tough to get a reservation and highly exclusive.
A symbol of old-school luxury, Le Cirque has fed celebrities, high rollers, and elite clientele, costing guests hundreds to upwards of $1,000 for a full dinner experience with wine pairings.
Foodies hoping to get a taste of the restaurant’s offerings should book a reservation early, as demand is expected to spike ahead of its final service this August.
How can I secure a table at Le Cirque?
Book as early as possible: Reservations can fill up weeks (or even months) in advance
Opt for weekday dining: Mondays and Thursdays tend to be slightly less competitive
Choose earlier seatings: Early dinner times often have better availability
