NEW YORK CITY — Nine restaurants in New York City were recently added to the Michelin Guide.

Five restaurants in Brooklyn and four restaurants in Manhattan were chosen to be included in the prestigious guide.

Michelin updates its guide twice a year, spotlighting newcomers that could later earn its coveted Star distinction when awards are announced in the fall.

In Brooklyn, the newly recognized restaurants include:

Bong, 724 Sterling Place — This Crown Heights spot earns praise for its shared-plates menu featuring vibrant Cambodian cuisine. Entre Nous, 39 Clifton Place — The Clinton Hill natural wine bar offers an extensive list of low-intervention wines, select beers, and sipping spirits, paired with a menu of classic French small plates. It’s a sibling concept to Fradei, the beloved Fort Greene bistro. I Cavallini, 284 Grand Street—Located in Williamsburg across from its sibling restaurant The Four Horsemen, Chef Nick Curtola pivots here to a full Italian menu in an intimate setting. Los Burritos Juarez, 354 Myrtle Avenue — This Fort Greene favorite specializes in regional burritos seldom found in New York, highlighting border-style recipes from El Paso and Ciudad Juárez. Vato, 226 Seventh Avenue—Created by the team behind Manhattan’s Michelin-starred Corima, this Park Slope tortillería and daytime bakery serves sourdough tortas filled with slow-braised beef cheek barbacoa, Chihuahuan-style burritos, pastries from Corima’s Erick Rocha and Oaxacan coffee.

Manhattan restaurants include:

Le Chêne – Greenwich Village: The renowned French cuisine restaurant features a menu by acclaimed chef Alexia Duchêne.

Hwaro, Midtown: The 22-seat counter located inside the Gui Steakhouse features a curated menu by Chef Sungchul Shim.

Cove, SoHo: The fine dining restaurant features food by chef Flynn McGarry.
