From food truck roots to one of Augusta’s busiest restaurants, Two Maine Guys is drawing a crowd. 

What began as a food truck in March 2016, owned and operated by Devan Lemar, has grown into a full-blown restaurant, built on the idea of creating a place where people could get food in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Lemar purchased the brick-and-mortar location in April 2025 and opened the doors in July at 18 Bridge St. 

The response from the community has been strong and promising.

“It’s been going very well, and honestly, it has been the busiest we have ever been,” said Lemar.

A big part of that success comes from the atmosphere the restaurant aims to create. With a full-service dining experience, a full bar, and live music three to four nights a week, Two Maine Guys offers more than just a place to eat. “I think what makes us unique is the atmosphere. said Lemar. “It gives people more than just a place to eat. It’s more of an experience.”

The menu blends the fan-favorite food truck items from over the years with classic comfort foods, offering something for a wide variety of tastes. . “Some of our most popular recent items are the kitchen sink, fries and honey, garlic chicken, and mac burrito served with hand-cut seasoned fries,” said Lemar. 

Customer favorites include burgers, mac and cheese, and seafood baskets. The also popular weekly specials give the restaurant a chance to test new dishes and keep regulars engaged.

The Bridge Street location is the third for the restaurant. The first restautant location was in Richmond; it next moved to Mount Vernon Avenue in Augusta.

Lemar is excited to keep developing his business while staying connected to the community. He is also expanding catering and food truck events to reach more people across the state. “We’re excited to keep growing, keep improving, and continue to be a part of the Augusta community,” said Lemar.
