Posted this in another sub and was told this would be appreciated here 😀 I made myself and my daughter (10.5. Months) some super yummy and healthy lunch. Canned sprats on top of a nice layer of avocado on fresh sourdough bread. Second picture shows how I served it to my daughter.
Thankfully my daughter is already a canned fish lover and absolutely devoured this! It was super delicious and will be eaten many times more 🙂

that strawberry plate is so cute
Wow a tinned fish loving baby would be so amazing, such an easy way to give a baby important protein and nutrients
My 11 year old used to love sardines and avocado (with some lime squeezed on top). That was when he was a toddler. People around us would be so disgusted 🙄🙄.
Sadly he became a picky eater by the time he turned 5 😭😭😭. Will not touch avocados or sardines. Or any fish unless it’s salmon or tilapia (not tinned).
I hope your baby continues to enjoy these. So yummy and healthy!
i love this picture. how to do you guys manage the saltyness though in meat in can? ]
Yay! Looks so healthy. My baby is only 4 months so no solids yet but I’m hoping she’ll like a nice fishy sardine
Great meal. It’s a staple in our house with some embellishments. Maybe you’ll like them for the adults in the household: (1) toast that sourdough, (2) thin sliced shallots or red onion, (3) sliced cherry tomatoes, (4) thin sliced jalapeños, (5) cilantro – plenty of it, (6) a few dashes of Crystal or Tabasco, (7) flaky salt & fresh ground pepper. It’s a banger.
