A Commercial Drive hotspot is shaking things up this spring with a refreshed food and drink menu.
Beloved tapas bar Pax Romana has introduced a new menu of Mediterranean-inspired small bites, share plates & hand-crafted cocktails.
Launched in late 2023 by the team behind Loula’s Taverna, Sopra Sotto (with locations in East Vancouver and Burnaby), and Claudio’s Ristorante, Pax Romana has only added to the already vibrant dining scene on Commercial Drive.
The new menu highlights a trio of charcuterie boards, each offering a curated selection of meats and cheeses, complemented by house-made jams and pickled vegetables.
For Mediterranean snacks and bites, guests can enjoy warm tangerine chili olives, Marcona almonds, pan con tomate, and the classic Gilda pintxo. Rounding out the rest of their food menu is dishes like patatas bravas, cauliflower with crema di prosciutto, and imam bayildi.

Behind the bar, a refreshed lineup of spring cocktails includes the smoky Port of Spain (400 Conejos mezcal, orgeat, lime, Angostura), the tart and tropical Five Wounds Daiquiri (Panarubers, passion fruit cordial, lime), the nutty, aromatic Kojo (Tanqueray, Oloroso sherry, falernum, aromatic bitters), and the silky Reverse Manhattan (Diplomático, Amontillado sherry, vermouth, bitters), among others.
The bar menu also keeps Pax Romana’s signature cocktails in the spring lineup, alongside a selection of vermouth, sherry, amari, and non-alcoholic drinks.
