Need to show my over 20 year old egg some love with new bands, hinge etc. website for parts says that it fits “most” eggs however send in pictures to make sure. BGE phone sent me to an AI help desk which is ironic because it’s absolutely no help. Eventually got to a prompt to leave a voice mail/phone number for call back. No luck again.
So I am reaching out to the community. Does anyone know if the current hinge/bands being sold online will fit this egg. Thanks for the help.

I still use the old bands but when I was looking into it my understanding was new bands would fit without issue
Yes, the hinge will fit the older style eggs as well.
I have the same one (in large) and replaced mine last year without any issues. Ace and other retailers sell it, allowing easy returns if needed
I have an older small BGE and recently replaced the bands/hinge. The new style bands are not easily adjusted on the older small BGE. The reason for this is the grove that the band rests is not as tall as on the new BGEs. I was unable to adjust the bands and close the gap that existed between the dome and the bottom. I ultimately doubled the gasket on the base to close the gap that existed.
You’ll have to change them to the new style bands. I just had this same conversation with a repair company after they tried to adjust my lid to straighten and underbite. Good luck
