AVI Bistrot – Américain will be located in The Lowndes London.
Ah, Belgravia. The prestigious neighbourhood has been home to famous faces, shops and restaurants. Harrods to Hugh Grant have all called it home. Now, it is set to welcome a transatlantic-inspired bistro, AVI Bistrot – Américain. Located in The Lowndes London and opening in April, it will showcase modern French food and American classics.
Situated near Hyde Park, The Lowndes London is part of the Jumeirah collection of hotels. AVI Bistrot – Américain will combine comfort and class. Located in a five-star hotel, it will aim to attract tourists as well as locals. Head Chef Joshua Conte began his career working in the British Army with The Rifles, including service in Afghanistan. He has created the all-day menu, which adds influences from America and France. Plus, the menu contains subtle nods to Asia and the Middle East.
The menu spans small plates, burgers, sandwiches, homemade pasta, dishes from the ocean, from the grill, and from the east, as well as sides. The menu is decorated with images of animals, from cows to sea life. Many of the dishes will be halal, and it will serve alcohol. The full drinks list has not yet been unveiled.
Dishes include AVI Caesar Salad, Black Brioche Lobster Roll, Le Big Mac avec Truffle, Fillet Steak with Smoked Bone Marrow, NYC Fried Chicken and Caviar, Red Claw Lobster Linguine with Caviar, Spicy Tomato Tequila Paccheri, and Tuna Schnitzel with Celeriac Remoulade.
If you’re after those varied influences, look out for the from the east section. Dishes include Bodrum Lachmacun Royal with 24-karat gold leaf, Chicken Dum Biryani with basmati rice, and Spicy Tomato Lahmacun with flatbread and fresh herbs. Sides include Truffle Parmesan Fries, Sauteed Spinach, and more.
