Tuesday, Jan. 13The Carole King & James Taylor Story

Following critically acclaimed sell-out runs at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Carole King & James Taylor Story comes to Syracuse’s Palace Theatre. The show features hits by the six-time Grammy Award winner Carole King and five-time Grammy Award winner James Taylor, performed by Phoebe Katis and Dan Clews, both well-established artists in their own right.

Wednesday, Jan. 14Jeff Dunham comedy show

Jeff Dunham returns to Central New York on Wednesday. The famed ventriloquist and his dummies will take the stage at Upstate Medical Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial in Syracuse. Dunham is a longtime comedian known for his puppet characters, including the dead terrorist Achmed and NASCAR-loving redneck Bubba J.

Thursday, Jan. 15Pink Rock’s Songwriters Music Series

Kyle Micho, Jessie Elizabeth and Homevisitor will perform at the monthly Songwriters Music Series at Pink Rock Culture Co-op. Dive into a songwriter’s process and stories and love how performers flow with the unexpected. Each concert event will showcase 3-4 artists trading off their original songs in a circle and sometimes they’ll even add to each other’s songs in the moment.

Local dance students perform to waltzes, tangos and other traditional dance pieces played by The Syracuse Orchestra. The program will include Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances. The show is one hour long with no intermission.

Goth Night at Song & Dance

St. Patrick Church dinner fundraiser

St. Patrick Church will host a “Soup for the Soul; Stock the Shelves” fundraiser on Saturday. Enjoy homemade soups, chili, tossed salad, mac and cheese, biscuits, corn bread, desserts and beverages with proceeds to benefit the J-E Food Pantry and the Altar and Rosary scholarship fund. All are welcome.
