Bless my husband for being supportive with my random ass ADHD hyperfixation… this year it’s a quest to try all the tinned fish I can find here in Chicago.
He said it’s not yet a hoarding problem because we’re actually eating them and not just collecting dust. 😂
“Tinned fish tasting”, what an awesome no brainer random weekly date night idea!

Don’t overlook your Asian or Eastern European markets – great fish in both places. Also Mitsuwa for Japanese fish I can’t find anywhere else

What’s the grand total on this haul

Ok OP, listen. This is a top tier haul. And you are lucky to have a supportive husband there. So, when you are low on stocks next time, and let me propose a girl math moment: Why not a quick trip to Portugal, aka the holy land of canned sardines? Pretty sure the savings for the same haul in Portugal vs Chicago prices would cover at least the round trip for one person. Bonus points, if you go to Porto, you can also schedule a visit to the holy grail sardine factory Conservas Pinhais and stock up on Nuri directly from the factory store hehe. I am not an authority but just another avid sardine lover living in Barcelona and will have that trip to Porto to Conservas Pinhais next week. The US price parity for the same tins I see on this sub are blowing my mind. Enjoy your tins and post us some reviews!
