
Bought a second hand Weber master touch which seemed fine. But is this amount of wobble normal? I expected it to be more sturdy. The welds of the tripod all seem to be in order

Mine does that since new but never gotten worse with use.

j/k, mine does this too. It was a floor model, so already assembled. I just assumed they were all like this.
My mother has like a 25 year old kettle that does feel a little sturdier.
I’ve seen people replace the hardware or re-enforce the connection points, but I never worried about that.

Coming from the performer, the wobble on my new 3 legger annoyed me. I’m going to fit the new kettle in the performer base.
Get a spider grills kettle cart
They all do it.
Mine did this after it took flight in a wind storm.
