I got bored in January and was really excited to grow peppers so I started a bunch of plants. I knew I was really early to start them, but I figured I would just use them as a learning experience to figure out watering and how the plants grow so I wouldn't freak out when things happened that I hadnt seen in my extensive YouTube research.

Flash forward to last week and im hardening off 16 pepper plants, and they're starting to fruit. Im beyond excited now, and hopefully I can keep them healthy during this weird period in PA when we have a week of 80+ weather followed by a week in the 50s and lows in the 30s…

Jimmy would be proud! Well done! I’ll bet you will have lots fine peppers to pick when the season gets in full swing.

I usually start some peppers before it is safe and recommended. Then I start a second batch at the “proper” time, several weeks later. If the spring weather turns out to be mild and balmy, I have bumper crop. If not, I rely on the “proper-season” ones and still get a decent harvest. NE Texas.
