INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Hampton Water Rose, created by Jon Bon Jovi and his son Jesse Bongiovi, is expanding its lineup with a new sparkling wine.

Produced in the South of France, the brand has built a reputation for consistent quality and has earned recognition from industry publications.

The family-run business partners with winemaker Gérard Bertrand, whose expertise has helped establish Hampton Water as a leading rose label.

The still rose is known for its fresh, lively profile, with notes of strawberry and citrus and a long finish influenced by aging in French oak barrels.

Todd Rainer discussed the brand on “Drink of the Week,” noting its origins and appeal. He said the idea stemmed from the simple pleasure of enjoying a glass of rose at the end of the day.

The sparkling version blends traditional Champagne grapes — Chardonnay and Pinot Noir — with Grenache, a variety commonly grown in southern France. The addition of Grenache gives the wine a distinct regional character while maintaining a familiar sparkling structure.

Rainer said the wine is approachable and comparable to other sparkling options, emphasizing its balance and drinkability.

He also explained the rose production process, in which red grape skins briefly remain in contact with the juice to create the wine’s pink color. This technique contributes both bright acidity and red fruit flavors, including strawberry, citrus and raspberry.

Rainer highlighted the brand’s credibility, noting it has received strong ratings from publications such as Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
