What’s the flavor?
So aesthetic. These are beautiful.
Flavor? Cooking technique? How bout a lil deets, OP?
Double fried, standard buffalo style sauce made from scratch, placed 9th in 1st round, 18th in the 2nd round.
On a separate note, I think we’re about done with this competition after prob 10 years of doing this. The list of disasters this year was just mindboggling and completely unacceptable for an event that’s been going this long.
1. The organizers distributed the 2025 donation buckets complete with expired QR code
2. The organizers then distributed BROKEN 2026 donation QR codes. I mean, once is already silly, but then ***again***? No excuses, and it destroyed the integrity of the People’s Choice competition entirely as the fest had already been going on for over an hour at that point.
3. The organizers were drunk on stage at the end
4. At one point nobody had a clue who had actually won because the announcer was trying to crack jokes using team names, which caused one team to be used as a joke despite not actually having won. This rightfully pissed them off.
5. The organizers were incredibly sexist multiple times openly and explicitly toward women at the festival and even got booed for it. They made zero apologies for their behavior.
6. The awards announcer made it where basically ZERO women wanted to go on stage to receive awards with a team due to his and the event organizers’ behavior
7. The organizer of the event never donates all the proceeds to Ronald McDonald House and oftentimes flat out ***refuses*** to say how much he ended up giving to them in the end.
So yeah we’re done. Fuck them.
I would recommend staying away from the World Hot Wing Festival in Memphis, it’s totally mismanaged by a buncha drunk sexist douchebags.
So what did you learn? What separates 9th from 1st? Also congrats, 9th isn’t great but it’s better than I ever placed.

That festival has always been awful because of the organizers. We did it for over 10 years. Haven’t been back in 5 years or so.
You should go to the one in Buffalo.
