GMonkey will return to Woodbury’s annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday for its debut appearance this year.
The mobile food truck offers plant-based fast food to suit vegan tastes. Signature dishes include G-fries, which are hand-cut sweet potato fries with special Farm2Street sauce, which is house-made hickory smoked ketchup. Vegan burgers, bowl dishes, vegan grilled cheese, bean burrito, desserts and drinks are also available.

Saturday’s Earth Day fest is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Hollow Park in Woodbury.
The event is from noon to 4 p.m. at Bad Sons Brewery in Derby, and will also feature food trucks, vendors and games.
Tickets, which are $21.29, include admission to the festival, a souvenir tasting cup, unlimited samples and a ballot to cast a pick for the People’s Choice winner. The annual event benefits the Seymour Cares Animal Shelter.
The festival is for ages 21 and older, and is rain or shine.
A local content creator will close the summer with a brand new food fest.
The event is billed as Connecticut’s largest content creator food festival. The festival will bring foodies together with more than 40 content creators, where guests can mingle with the social media stars as well as sample food from a variety of cuisines.
Daym Drops Foodie Fam Festival will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 29, and is rain or shine.
General admission tickets are $35, kids 10 years and younger are free with a paid adult, with a limit of two free kids per paid adult ticket. VIP tickets are $150, VIP Plus tickets are $300.
A portion of the proceeds will support Connecticut Foodshare, which distributes healthy food to local food pantries and meal programs.
