NOLA Buffalo wings: the Backyard

The backyard, a restaurant a friend put me on to about a year ago, consistently delivers high quality wings. They are smoked and I believe they are fried because they are extremely crispy. I find the smoked / fried combo to be one of my favorite methods. Their buffalo sauce is made with a “crystal hot sauce reduction” which I don’t really understand that from a culinary perspective but Crystal is my favorite hot sauce and another one of my favorite NOLA wing places, Bayou Hot Wings, uses crystal in their “sweet heat” buffalo sauce. If you are in the lake view area of NOLA check this place out. I’ll add that they were really saucy too so overall it was a 10/10 experience.
