First post, just got my grill a couple days ago. Can’t wait to start grilling.
I need some help with the little circular smart thermometer on the right side of the unit. It gets paired up to my phone in the app but requires an update. The update fails every time. Doesn’t matter how many times I factory reset it, re pair it after deleting it from the app, change the batteries, just keeps saying APP and then failing to update.
Has anyone else had this issue? I hope not for your sake but I hope so for my sake haha.

Came here to find the solution to the same problem with my Spirit Epx-435r. Haven’t found any useful help anywhere, and the Weber support page is useless.
I got it working! I used my iPad to connect and update instead of my iPhone 17.
