For nearly three decades, one man and a group of about 15 volunteers have been quietly growing something far bigger than vegetables. What began as a simple garden 27 years ago grew into Earth’s Table, a grassroots effort, powered by dedication, soil, and community.
Earth’s Table is an all-volunteer non-profit organization working to eliminate hunger in our community. They operate multiple sites where they grow vegetables, fruits and grains, all of which goes to nearby food pantries.
KGNU’s Don Davis got to visit one of those farm sites, see the farming in action, and talk with the founder of the project, and the volunteers that make it all happen.
