Flavorful Ideas to Bring to a Potluck This SpringAntonis Anchilleos

The weather is warming up, the days are longer and a bit sunnier, and everything is fresh and green. That must mean that spring has finally sprung! And with that comes potluck invitations to share in the revelry, and of course, share in the tons of food, too. Not sure what to bring? Try these spring potluck ideas!

It’s not quite summer potluck season yet, so you’ll have to wait for the corn and tomatoes. Instead, turn your focus to spring veggies and fruits to highlight freshness. Think: peas, carrots, rhubarb, strawberries. Add a few fresh herbs from your little windowsill garden, and you’re set to celebrate the season. And of course, you’ll also find some classic church potluck fare that you can make any time of year. Who would ever say no to a platter of deviled eggs or pimento cheese?

Everything here is portable, too. There are a few spring casseroles, potato salads and pasta salads you can serve right in the bowl you mixed them in, and easy desserts everyone can just grab and go. Just wait until you see Ree Drummond’s twist on carrot cake. The cream cheese is swirled right in. So be sure to bookmark this list, because you can come back to it again and again as the invites start to pile up. Now spring forth and get into the kitchen!
