The top chocolate with caramel cups is strong, melty, and sweet. The caramel in the cups is overpowered by chocolate flavor.
Chocolate icecream and cookie dough is a great combo. However, I think I would have liked the overall icecream experience if it was vanilla, to help let the caramel globs (I wouldn't call them swirls) taste to be more prominent.
Overall I enjoyed this icecream, but I had hoped it would a lot more caramely.

Yeah vanilla ice cream is way better than chocolate ice cream in my opinion. Chocolate is alright for me though.
100% agree with you that this would have been so much better with a vanilla base. I also think a thick caramel topping would have enhanced it but not overpowered it, as the chocolate ganache topping does.
