The Garage Food Hall and the Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre have been named to USA TODAY’s 10Best lists of food halls and dinner theaters, respectively.
Nominations for USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards come from a panel of industry experts. 10Best editors then narrow down those nominations and present them to the public during a four-week voting period (IndyStar does not weigh in on the selections).
The Garage, which in 2024 appeared in the No. 2 spot on USA TODAY’s food hall list, came in at No. 4 in this year’s ranking behind High Street Place in Boston, Southern Market in Lancaster, Pa., and 3rd St. Market Hall in Milwaukee. Located in the Bottleworks District on the north end of Mass Ave since January 2021, The Garage boasts more than 20 food and beverage vendors representing a wide array of cuisines.
Coming in at No. 8 on USA TODAY’s dinner theater list, Beef and Boards has offered choreography and carved meat in the College Park neighborhood since 1973, when it opened as part of a small chain of dinner theaters. The Indianapolis location is now the lone Beef and Boards in existence. Another Indiana dinner theater, the Derby Dinner Playhouse of Clarksville, was listed one spot behind Beef and Boards.
