So I found what looks to be a simple and tasty chicken and rice dish (Right here in fact!) That I am gonna make up, but would like to cook while I'm at work since, don't got the energy to make a dinner post work.

The recipe only calls for high heat, but adding a few hours on low instead should work too right? As long as it's a good temp, not dried out, and the diced chicken is cooked through, I can't think of any problems? But I've only been using this thing for half a year too, so figured might as well ask!

  1. You would cook it on low all the way, chicken doesn’t take long to cook through. The 4hrs cook time is mostly for the rice. I cook a shoulder of pork for 8 hrs on low. I even thought of getting a timer for my meals that only need 4hrs, because I’m gone 8hrs for work.
