Washington DC – The Dabney (*)

Took the family (me, wife, 2 kids 8 and 12) to The Dabney and really enjoyed it. This was their (my kids) first fine dining restaurant so I was apprehensive but they did great and the staff was welcoming and the restaurant was elevated but still accessible.

Really enjoyed everything we had. We opted for the ribeye over the lamb main because my younger one doesn’t like lamb. The ribeye was nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Standouts for me were the deviled eggs which are a perfect example of simple but elevated dining. And the baked Virginia which I didn’t expect to like that much (not big on ice cream desserts) but it was delicious.

Would definitely go back. One of the better and just more pleasant and enjoyable meals I’ve had.
