I ordered it because the Papago app had a weird translation, "SEA SQUIRT", and I wanted to find out.
you take "the meat" out of the hard spiky shell and eat it raw. It didn't taste bad but I wouldn't order it again…

It is sea squirt… not to sound rude, but after you translated did you look up the pharse “sea squirt” or are you asking what type of squirt it is?

It Already told you Sea Squirt that is the actual creature. It isn’t for everybody but the ones who like it LOVE it. Same with Abalone, octopus, etc.

My mom is from Busan. This is called a sea pineapple which is a type of sea squirt and I found it to be revolting. My mom loves it though hahahah

Sea squirt is a unique Korean seafood with a slightly bitter, ocean-like flavor. That bitterness actually helps boost your appetite. We typically eat it raw and dip it in chojang (a tangy, spicy red chili sauce). It’s considered healthy and is believed to help with energy and recovery.
this is my dads favorite dish lol i used to hate it, but i dont mind it now.

a lot of animals are named practically for identification and English is no exception. It is called Sea Squirt because it lives in the sea and squirts water as a defense mechanism such as when disturbed/handled by a human.
Sometimes fish/seafood with funny names need to be renamed to be more marketable as food for example: Patagonian Toothfish became Chilean Sea Bass, Slimehead became Orange Roughy, and Mudbugs became Crawfish/Langoustines

Maybe they are on to something. Sea Squirts may reverse aging:
