This creamy roasted garlic dip is rich, smooth, and packed with deep, nutty flavor from oven-roasted garlic and sesame seeds. Finished with fresh herbs, a touch of honey, and a hint of lemon, it’s perfect as a spread, dip, or appetizer centerpiece.

INGREDIENTS

2 heads of garlic cloves peeled
2 tbsp sesame seeds
120 ml (½ cup) Olive oil enough to fully cover garlic and seeds in baking dish
1 rosemary sprig
➡️For the Creamy Dip
200 g (7 oz) cream cheese
1 tbsp mayonnaise
3 tbsp Parmesan finely grated
1 tsp honey
½ lemon juiced
2 tbsp fresh chives chopped
salt and pepper to taste
chili flakes (optional), to taste
➡️For Garnish
Garlic confit cloves, Fresh chives, Chili flakes, Reserved garlic–sesame oil from roasting

➡️Roast the Garlic & Sesame: Preheat your oven to 180°C. Place the peeled garlic cloves in a small baking dish, add the sesame seeds and rosemary sprig, and cover with olive oil. Roast for 25–30 minutes, until the garlic is soft, golden, and fragrant.
➡️Combine Everything: Transfer the roasted garlic and sesame seeds into a bowl, then add cream cheese, mayonnaise, parmesan, honey, lemon juice, chives, salt, chili flakes, and black pepper.
➡️Mash Until Creamy: Use a fork to mash everything together until smooth and well combined, keeping a slightly rustic texture if desired.
➡️Finish & Serve: Spoon into a serving bowl, top with garlic confit cloves, fresh chives, chili flakes, and a drizzle of reserved garlic–sesame oil.
