The Bridge Street location closes amid parent company Bravo Brio’s bankruptcy, as financial struggles threaten their 48 restaurant locations nationwide.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A Huntsville Italian dining destination has permanently shuttered its doors.

Bravo! Italian Kitchen, located at Bridge Street Town Centre, has closed, with a notice posted on the restaurant’s door Sunday confirming the shutdown. The company’s website has since been updated to reflect the permanent closure of the Huntsville location.

The restaurant had been a go-to spot for Italian-American fare, offering dishes such as Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Chicken Parmesan, and Fettuccini Alfredo. Guests also enjoyed a weekend brunch menu, making it a popular choice for leisurely weekend dining.

The closure comes amid significant financial turmoil for the chain’s parent company, Bravo Brio Restaurants.

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Aug. 18, 2025, in the Middle District of Florida, citing rampant inflation, rising food and labor costs, high interest rates, and reduced consumer demand. At the time of filing, the company operated 48 locations — 25 Brio and 23 Bravo! — and employed approximately 4,000 people.

The company reported liabilities between $50 million and $100 million and is working with investor R&R Brands to restructure debt and streamline operations.

It marks the second bankruptcy filing for Bravo Brio in five years. The company previously sought Chapter 11 protection in April 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, after which it was acquired by Earl Enterprises.

No statement has been issued regarding the Huntsville closure specifically, but the Bridge Street location appears to have served its final plate.
