Ran into this once at my local Meijer. I was unable to argue my case about their case placement lol. But being chill with the butcher dept is worth way more than saving on a few steaks. I shop the same time every Sunday morning usually for the previous week’s sales on markdown, and they’ve hooked me up *fat.*

I think this only works if they are prepackaged and mislabeled. Butcher should know what they are doing when wrapping these up and labeling for sale.

Y’know, the talent here and other beef-centric subs is formidable. I’m constantly humbled by the skills of the folks here.
What bums me out is the constant reminder of how crappy the economy is right now. We should be seeing USDA Prime meats in every post. But, no fault of their own, we keep seeing Choice. Choice is fine, but, in a sub that’s all about elevated beef cooking, we *should* be seeing Prime all the time. But because of the current style of governance, all the prices of everything are through the roof. It’s a bummer.
