SCITUATE, R.I. (WPRI) — After decades in business, the Corner Bistro in Scituate has closed its doors.
The Italian restaurant on Hartford Pike officially closed on Sunday.
According to a post on social media, the owners decided to shut down due to unexpected medical conditions.
“We apologize to our very loyal staff and customers for this retirement being so sudden, and we want to thank you for all the years you have given to us,” the post read.
It first opened as the Countryside Restaurant in 1986 before it became the Corner Bistro in 2006.
