A restaurant helmed by local celeb chef Matty Matheson has just announced that they’ll be coming to Toronto for just one month to do a special takeout-only operation.
Rizzo’s House of Parm is an Italian restaurant in Crystal Beach, Ontario by the celebrity chef Matty Matheson, who is behind Toronto concepts that include Prime Seafood Palace and Matty’s Pattys. His hospitality group is also behind the newly opened restaurant Iron Cow Public House in Hamilton.
The restaurant Rizzo’s House of Parm is known for its menu of Italian classics that centres around parm plates like chicken, veal or eggplant parm, plus pastas that include gnocchi, ravioli and rigatoni.
Now, the restaurant will be coming to Toronto and bringing all that deliciousness with them.
The menu available in Toronto consists of one option Rizzo’s House of Parm is calling “Rizzo Takes Toronto” that’s supposed to be the full Rizzo’s experience and feeds two.
The “Rizzo Takes Toronto” experience includes two parms with choices of eggplant and chicken, and one pasta with a choice between penne alla vodka and spaghetti pomodoro. The meal also includes Rizzo’s meatballs, Caesar salad and tiramisu.
You can also add on drinks to your order, and the options include Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, Brio Chinotto, bottles of red or white wine, four-packs of Peroni and an Americano four-pack.
Rizzo’s House of Parm took to social media to announce the pop-up that will be taking place in Toronto next month. Within just hours, the announcement post received close to 2,000 likes and many comments on Instagram.
“Rizzo’s will always be a Crystal Beach thing for us,” one person said in a comment on Instagram.
“Bring the chili flakes for us to buy toooo,” another person said.
Someone else commented, “Thanks for the Mother’s Day dinner!”
“Sun’s out, sauce is in my mouth,” one other person commented simply. Another excited person wrote in a comment on Instagram, “Just pre ordered, already drooling.”
One person had a minor, but passionate, complaint: “”NO POLENTA ON THE TAKEOUT MENU!??!! WHYYYYYYY!?!!”
The preorder link for Rizzo’s House of Parm in Toronto is now live, and deliveries will be available from Wednesday through Sunday starting at 5 p.m. until supplies run out. Delivery will be available exclusively through Uber Eats.
