They are excited in Dallas: “Dallas’ hottest restaurant block, Knox Street, to get rooftop Mediterranean restaurant” shouts Dallas Morning News. One could ask: “how Greek is it?” That remains to be seen – but it’s got a Greek name, Théa, and Hellenic items on the menu.
It’s a two-story rooftop restaurant overlooking the Katy Trail, and “it joins a fleet of new restaurants and towers on Knox Street, which will be anchored by the new Knox Hotel, an Auberge Collection property.”
The venue comes from Phoenix restaurateur Sam Fox, who created Flower Child, North Italia, Culinary Dropout and other eateries,” the article notes, adding that, “Théa features Dallas’ hottest cuisine of the moment: Mediterranean food…We’ve got Avra in Uptown.”
The author says “the restaurant was named for the Greek goddess of light, making it a fit for a sunny patio above Dallas’ Katy Trail” – Ok, not quite ‘light’, but the sentence describes a nice view, which is the modern Greek meaning of the word.
