I have no problems with this. It’s like when I was a kid and would order no meat on my burger. It’s fine. Anything is better than eating meat that never breaks down naturally. Maybe don’t eat at McDonald’s actually

    You’d figure there’d be some lamb on a New Zealand-themed burger. . .

  3. notjerryjeff

It’s true, no one eats salads except for New Zealanders.

  4. Had exactly this in New Zealand for years but the company seems too embarrassed to advertise it.

That’s the classical Nothingburger. UFO nuts like myself know this dish very very well.

Take the cheese off and I’d try it

With how progressively thinner the meat patties are in McDonald’s, this seems like a natural progression

    The burger we need ..

Vege chicken or fish can be added too

So the worlds 6th largest exporter of beef has a burger with no meat at all on it named after it. Make it make sense McD’s

Weird. I would have expected a “New Zealand” burger to have lamb, or kiwi’s or tasty little hobbitses but just salad?

A place near my highschool used to serve something like this on a toasted bagel for next to nothing. Good times

For people new to conversion rates: this is 4.98$ US for a combo… seems more reasonable than America to me.

Where is this all I see around is the Shogun burger?

  14. Megidolaon10

I never notice we have got that in NZ McDonald… But it is there…

  15. ASouthernDandy

Looks like meat’s off the menu, boys!

I’m not paying $5 for a tomato sandwich.

One of the coolest things about traveling the world is trying out the different cultures version of our fast food chains.

Side note: New Zealand is the most beautiful place on earth, highly recommend. Go for the salad burger, stay for the mountains. 🫠😂

Reminds me of my first (and only, and last) experience at In-N-Out Burger in LV when my ex-gf ordered a vegetarian burger and all she got was a bun with a slice of tomato and some very sad lettuce inside.

Has anyone here ever put pickle slices and Kraft American Singles on a salad?

  20. Tits_McgeeD

Yes the first thing that comes to mind when you think of New Zealand is Salad.

As a vegetarian, I am offended. Give me a bean or veggie patty or something at least

  22. Ambitious_Bit_9389

When I was a kid we had a garden and always grew lots of tomatoes. I used to have tomatoes sandwiches all the time (bread, mayo, tomatoes, pepper). It’s like tomato sandwich with even more calories added.

  23. tribbans95

$5 USD for shitty vegetables on bread? I’m all set

  24. TenYearHangover

GD at least make it a lamb burger…

  25. ImmaculateWeiss

Wait what does that have to do with New Zealand

  26. FluffyKiwi28

New Zealand does actually have its own kind of burger. Usually beef, egg, beetroot, lettuce and tomato, so far from this lol.

  27. Admirable_Heat_576

The audacity to charge 39 HK$ for salad 🥗
