The Great San Juan Bautista Rib Cook-Off is back on Third Street with more than 100 vendors. The annual event is set to take place this weekend, from May 8 to May 10. The event opens Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.There will be nine teams competing in the rib cook-off, with competitors from Seaside to Australia.Here are the roadways that will be closed from 5 p.m. Thursday through 10 p.m. Sunday because of the event:Third Street between Franklin Street and Muckelemi StreetWashington Street between Second Street and Fourth StreetMariposa Street between Second Street and Fourth StreetPolk Street between Second Street and Fourth StreetParking and traffic in the downtown area may be impacted.
