As much as I love to cook, some days I just need a quick and easy dinner (or lunch) that requires minimal effort. That’s usually when I turn to my favorite frozen soup dumplings: I’ve been a fan of MìLà’s soup dumplings for years now, so when I found out that the brand was dropping a new flavor I was all over it. And now I can confirm that it is absolutely delicious.

What You Should Know About MìLà’s Spicy Hot Pot Beef Soup Dumplings
If you haven’t tried anything from MìLà yet, let this be your sign. The Kitchn editors love the potstickers, soup dumplings, and noodles, and Food Network star and cookbook author Joe Sasto is also a fan. “They’re really good,” he said about the soup dumplings last fall. “They’ve done a great job in all of their branding and delivering a really high-quality soup dumpling that you can keep in your freezer.”
MìLà’s soup dumplings come in six flavors, with the newest being the Spicy Hot Pot Beef. They can be either steamed or pan-fried, and take about 12 or 13 minutes to cook depending on the method you choose.
You can grab a pack of three bags with 10 dumplings each straight from the brand’s website for $30.

My Honest Review of MìLà’s Spicy Hot Pot Beef Soup Dumplings
I don’t have a steamer basket, so I opt for the pan-frying method to cook these soup dumplings. I love how crispy the bottoms of the dumplings get, and then the tops are nice and chewy. It’s absolutely delicious — and I haven’t even gotten to the filling yet!
The filling features rich, savory beef and a medium-level spicy broth that combined have notes of scallion, ginger, garlic, and chili peppers. In terms of spiciness, I’d say the Spicy Hot Pot Beef Soup Dumplings are a four out of 10 for me; not so hot that I need water immediately, but they do make my lips tingle and have me reaching for my lip balm afterwards.
Altogether, these soup dumplings are wildly flavorful and quick to make. I do find some of my dumplings have a tendency to burst during cooking with the pan-frying method, but I’m not bothered about it (they’re still so delicious). They’re especially perfect when I need a quick lunch during my workday (I even like topping my salads with them). Bye-bye, boring weekday meals!
