ALEXANDRIA

— Alexandria will soon be home to a new Italian restaurant.

Although an opening date has not been confirmed at this time, a co-owner of Tuscany Italian Restaurant said the business will be open by the end of May.

“We have another location in Fergus Falls, and we’re opening our second one here,” said Nexh Zeka. “We actually come from the Dallas area in Texas.”

Zeka said he and two of his cousins have come to the Midwest to expand their business.

“We saw that the area needs this type of food and this type of menu,” he said. “We don’t see anyone in the area that has it.”

Among the offerings on the menu will be lasagna, parmesan chicken, fettuccine and lobster ravioli.

The restaurant will be located at 1215 Broadway St., the former site of A’BriTin Catering and Hospitality.

“We opened the Facebook page (recently) and we got a lot of positive feedback,” Zeka said. “A lot of people are excited for us to open.”
