1988 Krug Clos de Mesnil (magnum):
This beauty was super fresh, showing almost no age, with plenty of fine bead and mousse. There was lovely Meyer lemon, quince, and toasted brioche on the nose, with a laser beam of acidity and slate on the palate, with incredible power and focus. The finish was supremely long. Makes me extremely optimistic about the 96 and 08 CDM.
