Via wine-paired courses at a May 21 dinner event, Café Boulud in Palm Beach is set to highlight regional cuisine and exceptional vineyard pours of Italy.
Advance reservations are required for “An evening in Italy” at the French-American restaurant at The Brazilian Court, 301 Australian Ave., where five dinner courses will be served with wines selected by Café Boulud’s sommelier David Sauer.
The fare will reflect some of Italy’s most celebrated regions — from Tuscany to the Piemonte, Café Boulud officials said.

Beginning at 7 p.m., the dinner courses conceived by executive chef Christopher Zabita and pastry chef Rosana Quintero will start with “cibo di strada,” which translates to street food: Look for crispy rice croquettes, grilled lamb skewers and bruschetta with anchovies.
Cuttlefish with confit tomato, arugula paste and pickled ramps are featured in the second wine-paired course.
The pasta course will be a lasagna with morels, Parmigiano-Reggiano, aged balsamic and summer truffles.
That will be followed by ribeye steak with roasted peppers, oregano, and San Marzano tomatoes.
An almond biscuit with caramelized peaches will be the dessert.
Wines served during the evening will range from La Piane’s Boca Piemonte 2007 in magnum — a rare selection from one of northern Italy’s storied appellations — to Orma’s red-blend Toscana 2019.
The dinner is $195 a person. To make required advance reservations, call Café Boulud at 561-655-6060 or visit CafeBoulud.com/PalmBeach.
