Straus Family Creamery has recalled select production runs of six Organic Super Premium Ice Cream flavors due to the potential presence of foreign metal, the Bay Area ice cream maker said Thursday.

The voluntary recall affects specific pint and quart containers distributed to retailers in 17 states beginning May 4, including in California, Texas, Florida, Illinois and Washington. 

No injuries have been reported, according to the company.

The affected products include the following flavors, all with “best by” dates in December of this year: 

The creamery is advising customers to check the dates printed in black on the outside bottom of the container. Consumers seeking support or any additional information are asked to contact the creamery at 707-776-2887. 

Customers who purchased recalled products can request a replacement voucher through the company’s website. 

Based in Northern California, Straus Family Creamery was founded in 1994 and has produced organic dairy products supplied by Marin and Sonoma County dairy farms.
